This is an All Grain mix containing corn, oats, soybean meal and molasses. It is designed to supplement horses gazing average to good quality pasture, although it can be fed to other classes of livestock including cattle, donkeys, sheep and goats. This feed contains no added minerals and vitamins. Minerals and vitamins should be offered free choice to animals consuming this product.
Feeding Directions:
Feed to horses at the rate of .5 to 1.5 lbs. per 100 lbs. bodyweight depending on the quality and quantity of other feedstuffs available and the intended use of the horse. Do not feed free choice to any animal. Provide good quality hay or pasture.
Caution:
Always provide a fresh source of clean water, salt and free choice minerals at all times. When making any change in an animal’s diet, plan a 7 to 10-day transition period. Do not allow feed to stay in feeder for a period of longer than 3 days. When feeding large amounts of this feed (over 5 pounds per day) split the feeding amount into two different feedings to reduce the incidence of colic. Poorly managed feeding programs can lead to nutritional disorders.
