A complete horse feed line designed for producers who prefer a pelleted horse feed. Champions Choice offers a variety of feeds to meet a range of feeding situations.
Feeding Directions:
Feed .5 to 1 lbs. of feed per 100 lbs. of body weight to maintain mature horses. Hay should be fed at a rate of 1 to 2 lbs. per 100 lbs. of body weight, or similar amounts of pasture should be provided. Do not feed free choice to any class of animal, Do not feed to sheep. When feeding to inactive horses, feed an amount less than .5 lbs. per 100 lbs. of body weight.
Caution:
Always provide a fresh source of clean water, salt and free choice minerals at all times. When making any change in an animal’s diet, plan a 7 to 10-day transition period. Do not allow feed to stay in feeder for a period of longer than 3 days. When feeding large amounts of this feed (over 5 pounds per day) split the feeding amount into two different feedings to reduce the incidence of colic. Poorly managed feeding programs can lead to nutritional disorders.
Warning:
Do not feed to sheep due to copper levels in this feed.
